Drowned River Rats

26 years ago, my father took me to my very first Red Sox game. They played the White Sox, Jim Rice hit a home run (apparently at my command, according to Dad), and they won 5-4.

Tonight, Dad and I took in another game. They played the Toronto Blue Jays, who came into town on a hot streak. Dustin Pedroia almost hit a home run. They won, 7-0.

It rained pretty much the whole time. We're soaked to the skin, but it was really cool to be in the park with my dad again, the one who made our whole family members of Red Sox Nation.

"So I walk like I'm on a mission, 'cuz that's the way I groove. I've got more and more to do, I've got less and less to prove. It took me too long to realize that I don't take good pictures 'cuz I have the kind of beauty that moves..." Ani D.
