Wild Kingdom, Less Than 5 Miles From Home

The image you see to the left there was taken in woods less than five miles from my house, where my father has permission to hunt private property. Those are coyotes. Those are VERY LARGE coyotes that, judging by their height and coloring, are most likely part WOLF. Seriously, look at the haunches on the one in the back there.

These animals are not to be trifled with; they will eat your pets. If you live in my area and you've lost a cat in the last decade, I'm sorry. Your cat was not lost; your cat was LUNCH.

Looking at this picture, I feel compelled to both post and respond to this Red Hot Chilli Peppers' song. Actually, true men DO kill coyotes. There's a legal season, and they are predators.

Walk in the woods very carefully, friends, and keep your pets close.

"So I walk like I'm on a mission, 'cuz that's the way I groove. I've got more and more to do, I've got less and less to prove. It took me too long to realize that I don't take good pictures 'cuz I have the kind of beauty that moves..." Ani D.
