It's vacation. I'm procrastinating, reading, shopping, not working (much), spending time with the man. Reconnecting with some of my hidden iTunes gems.

The Sun Is Setting...

...in my gmail account. My new theme is the beach, and it changes over the day, and right now, the sun is setting a glorious soft coral pink. Which is nice, because outside my window, it's beginning to look like I need an ark.

...fun, fun, fun, 'til the hipster takes the gumballs away. Or something like that.

In all truthfulness, though, if I were in New York City, and saw this gumball machine, I absolutely would have purchased one. And I would have made my best effort to complete the task assigned, although, that wouldn't always have been the case. It is now, though.

Saturday Morning Procrastination

There are all sorts of things I should be doing right now. Instead, I'm surfing the internet, drinking coffee in my pj's. This activity wins, for now.

A few updates, after my begging for support yesterday, via email and this blog, I went from 21% to my goal to 41% in the course of the day!!! Thank you to all who donated yesterday. I'm still begging. There's still time. I'd like to see if we can get over halfway this weekend.

Mom's 60th birthday surprise party was last night, and it went off very well. Everyone had a marvelous time. There are pictures; I just need to get to my sister's to upload them (see, one of the things I could be doing). They'll be up this weekend.

The game night crew and I are going here tonight to see Peter Tork. Yes, that Peter Tork. Should be hysterical. There will also be pictures of that, too.

Oh, and I have a job interview on Tuesday. We'll see how it goes.

I'm Only Dancing

I wonder if the people around me at the gym know that I'm secretly dancing in my head when I'm on the treadmill? Seriously. My iPod playlists are filled with dance tunes and hip/hop and mashups, which, when I'm in my living room, I'm grooving, moving around, sexing it up, happy as can be. I'm happy when I'm dancing. And, I'm happy when I'm on the treadmill, because I'm doing something good for me. Granted, I'm not working out with the goal of being an American Gladiator, not even close. But, the truth is, I feel better physically and mentally when I've spent even 20 minutes on the treadmill (I did much more than that today). Exercise and endorphins and all that good stuff. And since dancing is physical activity, it produces the same reactions in my head.

Therefore, when you see me in the gym, mouthing the words to some song, and moving my arms, know that those arm movements are only slightly less obvious versions of the movements I use when I dance. Audience or not.
